Top 10 Cosy Anime Christmas Episodes
I follow a lot of Christmas traditions. I exchange gifts, eat roast meat, drink beer and play video games. But the most important Christmas tradition in my life is bingeing as much anime as possible.
While this is something I do on a daily basis, at Christmas I like to watch Christmas-themed anime episodes. So here's a list of 10 anime Christmas episodes to get you into the spirit.
Himouto! Umaru-chan - 'Umaru and Christmas and New Years' (S1E8)
Of course the best episode is first on the list. Taihei needs to work overtime on Christmas Eve, leaving Umaru in the apartment by herself. She ends up lazing around under the kotatsu and reflecting on the year she's had.
You can watch Himouto! Umaru-chan on HIDIVE.
Adachi to Shimamura - 'White Album' (S1E6)
Adachi wants to spend a romantic Christmas with Shimamura, but is unsure how to do it. She gets Hino to help her find the perfect gift for her girl-crush. But in classic yuri fashion, Adachi starts daydreaming about spending Christmas Eve with Shimamura instead.
In the end, the girls get to spend Christmas together and exchange gifts. How sweet.

Nichijou - 'Episode 22' (S1E22)
When Nano quizzes her on what she's going to ask Santa for on Christmas, the Professor says she wants chocolate, coloured pencils, cake erasers and more. Nano then says she wants two cartons of eggs, half a kilo of beef and an Ivan Bilibin book – sophisticated!
In the next skit, Santa visits a small boy and ruins his Christmas by throwing melon-pan at the wall.
You can watch Nichijou on Funimation.
Azumanga Daioh - 'December / Incredible Santa / Christmas Meeting' (S1E17)

Hori asks Miyamura to spend Christmas with her family, but he declines as he's working that night. Miyamura manages to come and visit Hori's family before he goes to work, leaving Hori to think about what will happen after they graduate high school.
